Tag: helping nepal

Nepal is still one of the poorest countries in the world, especially in very remote areas. With the general condition of the country, it is far from possible for people in Nepal to fight their way out of continuous impoverishment. It is therefore up to us to help people in these regions.

Support groups in Himalaya and Kankada have come together through social media and established a web platform made possible by namesilo coupon to help support and solicit ways to help improve the poverty situation of the country. The collaboration of various private groups helps create new perspectives that are so urgently needed.

Helping Nepal

Aid Projects Mission Vision

The aid projects are about supporting disadvantaged families, especially girls and women, and strengthening the community. The people of Nepal should gradually regain their own strength so that they can revive their former valuable knowledge and traditions. The focus is on areas such as education, health care, medicine, and income security.

Relief campaign for earthquake victims in Nepal

The severe earthquake of April 25, 2015, with a magnitude of 7.9 and numerous aftershocks up to magnitude 6.7 have meanwhile claimed up to 10,000 lives and about as many injuries, according to the authorities. For general information, please refer to the relevant media and the security notice of the Federal Foreign Office.

The international airport of Kathmandu is back in operation after a brief interim closure, scheduled flights operate relatively smoothly according to the flight schedule.

The team at Nepal Germany supports the relief campaign for the benefit of the earthquake victims, who started extensive aid operations in 2005 after the devastating earthquake in Pakistan and 2010 after the flood disaster in Pakistan and carried out years of reconstruction in the destroyed areas.

NEPALMED towards better health

After several trips and work stays and under the impression of the precarious social conditions of the people, 13 German medical and humanities researchers led by Dr. Arne Drews founded the aid organization “Nepalmed” in Grimma (Saxony) in 2000. Since 2000 it has been a registered association with more than 420 members across Europe. All board members work on a voluntary basis so that every euro goes into project work on site. The claim to help and promote self-help is implemented in cooperation with local government and non-governmental organizations.

The main tasks of NEPALMED include:

  • help with the operation of hospitals, especially in rural areas
  • the training and further education of Nepalese staff
  • funding necessary treatment for the poorest through a charity fund
  • the placement of emergency services (doctors, nurses, nurses, students, and physiotherapists) to Nepal
  • raising donations in Germany
  • information (lectures, exhibitions and action days) about the country and its social conditions

One of their main projects is the remote Amppipal Hospital. It supplies around 200,000 people in this poor region and offers 46 beds. Extensive renovation and modernization work was carried out here, the hospital was made accessible by road, a sister school was opened and much more was possible to improve the conditions on-site.

Every donation, no matter how small, has a much higher value in Nepal.
